Abstract

This research explores the burgeoning role of multimodal content in enhancing English language teaching (ELT). It examines the theoretical underpinnings of multimodality, investigates the benefits and challenges of integrating diverse media (text, images, audio, video, animation, interactive elements) into language instruction, and analyzes empirical studies demonstrating the impact of multimodal learning on various aspects of language acquisition, including vocabulary development, grammar comprehension, pronunciation, and communicative competence. The study concludes by proposing recommendations for effective implementation of multimodal approaches in ELT classrooms.
