Abstract

This article analyzes the use of ultrasonic and electromagnetic sensors in monitoring and analyzing water consumption at pumping stations. The analysis involves real-time detection of water flow, analysis of measurement results, and assessment of the efficiency of pumping units. In the process, the principle of operation and practical application of the TUF-2000M ultrasonic flow meter, electromagnetic flow meter, and XMSJ type ultrasonic sensors were considered. Based on the data obtained from the sensors, the relationship between water flow rate and water consumption was determined. The results showed that the measured values obtained using ultrasonic and electromagnetic sensors are close to each other and that these methods are reliable for the monitoring system. It was also observed that water consumption increases proportionally with increasing flow rate. At the end of the study, the feasibility of using these sensor technologies for automated control of water consumption at pumping stations, stable monitoring of hydraulic processes, and increasing energy efficiency was substantiated.
