Pathology and Intervention in Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation
Main Article Content
Abstract
Musculoskeletal disorders represent one of the leading causes of disability worldwide, affecting the bones, muscles, joints, ligaments, and tendons. These conditions may arise due to trauma, degenerative changes, inflammatory diseases, or congenital abnormalities. Understanding the pathology of musculoskeletal disorders is essential for developing effective rehabilitation strategies. Musculoskeletal rehabilitation aims to restore mobility, improve functional capacity, reduce pain, and enhance the quality of life of patients. This article discusses the common pathologies affecting the musculoskeletal system and outlines the major rehabilitation interventions used in clinical practice, including physiotherapy, manual therapy, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, pharmacological treatment, and surgical approaches.
