Human capital in the corporate sphere of Kazakhstan’s metallurgy: the current state of the leading enterprise in the industry

Abstract

Metallurgical industry is the basis of the processing industry in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Ferrous metallurgy also plays a very important role in its complex within the economy of the country and its regions (from the side of deployment). However, the problems, which inherent for this industry in the organization of labor negatively affect to the reproduction of human capital of metallurgical enterprises: personnel continuity is disrupted and there is a drain of skilled labor. In this regard, it is extremely important to analyze the state of the human capital for this industry in relation to employees of metallurgical enterprises to the factors, which form human capital: education, industrial safety, satisfaction with the legal consolidation of working conditions, the level of social guarantees, motivation to work. Such an analysis will make it possible to identify the real priorities and problematic factors of human capital, the further improvement of which will be able to prevent many negative trends in its reproduction. Object of this research is the analysis of factors that form human capital. The environment for analyzed factors is the labor collective of the Karaganda Metallurgical Plant. It is the largest ferrous metallurgy enterprise in Kazakhstan.
