Abstract

AMR threatens the effectiveness of modern medicine by reducing the therapeutic potential of existing antibiotics. According to the WHO (2024), AMR is a growing global crisis requiring urgent, multidisciplinary action. Resistant microorganisms such as Staphylococcus aureus, Enterococcus faecium, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and various Gram-negative bacilli spread easily through direct and indirect contact, with contaminated hands serving as a key transmission pathway.
