Abstract
A child’s lungs are not just smaller versions of adult lungs — they are still under construction. The airways are narrower, the chest wall is softer, and lung tissue continues developing even after birth. Because of these differences, breathing problems in children can progress faster than in adults, making early recognition and care crucial.
