Abstract
Chronic lung abscess still shows up in clinics and wards, stubbornly refusing to behave even in an era of powerful antibiotics. It’s one of those conditions that reminds you medicine isn’t always swift or clean—people cough up a lot of despair, and surgeons see a lot of damage. While we’ve improved outcomes, the path to curing these cavities often weaves through surgical theatre.
