The impact of military action on the mental health of the Ukrainian population

Abstract

Due to the massive psychological trauma caused by the war the mental health of Ukraine's population has become an acute social and health issue, with millions of citizens at high risk of developing post-traumatic stress disorder and depression. The organisation of industry meetings and major professional events in Ukraine plays a leading role in improving the quality and ensuring the effectiveness of psychosocial support. Analysis of the hygienic aspects of mental health support allows us to identify the key psycho-emotional consequences of military conflict and emphasise the importance of state and public psychological assistance programmes.
