Main Article Content
Abstract
Kharkiv, the second largest city in Ukraine, has become the epicenter of the fighting. According to the mayor of the city of Terekhov, 25 percent of residential buildings in the city were destroyed. The recovery of the city will be monitored by a UN working group. The UN-Habitat mission will join in the creation of the updated Kharkiv Master Plan. The master plan is being developed by architect Norman Foster. He believes that this is an opportunity to combine the heritage of the past with the new technologies needed to create the city of the future. In this context, it is important to take into account the best practices of UNESCO learning cities.
