Abstract

This article provides a systematic analysis of delays occurring in construction projects and their underlying causes. It explores the economic, technical, and organizational impacts of not completing projects on time, emphasizing the importance of effective planning within this context. The article identifies key contributors to delays in construction projects, including labor shortages, inefficient use of resources, supply chain issues, and weak planning during the initial stages of the project. The article also covers modern methods and approaches used to prevent such delays and to identify their root causes. Within this framework, it highlights the role of analytical tools such as Primavera P6, Earned Value Management (EVM), and the Critical Path Method (CPM) in delay analysis and project process monitoring. Additionally, it justifies the benefits achieved by applying these methods during the planning, execution, and control phases of a project. Overall, the article emphasizes the importance of efficient planning and analysis methods based on modern technologies to enhance project management in the construction sector and demonstrates how these methods are implemented in practice.
