Didactics of bilingual teaching of mathematics to students of Ukrainian universities

Abstract
Ukraine's integration into the global educational and scientific space makes it important to grant English the status of the language of teaching disciplines of educational programs for preparation Ukrainian university students. Ukrainian students of technical universities often express a desire to receive full or partial education in English. In the latter case, the list of disciplines chosen by students usually includes mathematical courses. If students receive only partial education in English, due to the need to use the mathematical apparatus also in the process of teaching a number of general technical and professional disciplines in Ukrainian, the problem of bilingual mathematics education of Ukrainian university students arises. The paper analyzes the essence of well-known models of bilingual education from the standpoint of the formation of stages of artificial bilingualism and presents didactic recommendations regarding the English-language teaching of mathematics to Ukrainian students within the framework of each of the models.
