Abstract

The restoration of Ukraine's infrastructure after the end of the war is a large-scale and multifaceted challenge that requires a systematic approach. This includes the physical reconstruction of destroyed facilities, modernization of essential systems, and the introduction of innovations. Particular emphasis is placed on integrating advanced technologies, ensuring sustainable development, promoting transparency in governance, and engaging the public in the recovery process. The estimated war-related damages amount to $152 billion, while the total recovery needs reach $486 billion. Priority areas include transportation, energy, housing, and social infrastructure. For the successful implementation of recovery plans, Ukraine must attract international financial and technical assistance, utilize public-private partnership mechanisms, and integrate EU standards. Territorial communities play a crucial role as the foundation for the local implementation of projects. Recovery strategies address contemporary challenges such as climate change, economic instability, and the need for technological adaptation. The key principle of recovery is the concept of "building back better," aimed at ensuring the country's long-term sustainable development. The success of the process depends on the combined efforts of the government, international partners, businesses, and the public to create conditions for economic growth, social stability, and a high quality of life.
