Abstract

This paper analyzes the application of artificial intelligence methods in the control of mobile robots. The proposed method for selecting the optimal artificial intelligence technology allows improving the functional characteristics of the control system of mobile robots and its individual subsystems. This method is based on the optimal coverage of the tasks and procedures solved by the robot control system. The method is based on the description of the initial data in the form of preference relations over a set of alternatives. The least preferred alternative is accepted as a solution to the problem of selecting the optimal information technology. The proposed method was applied to select the optimal artificial intelligence technology in the field of motion control and technical operation in the development of the control system of the "Fregat" mobile robotic irrigation system. This method can be applied in the design of software not only for mobile robots, but also for robots for other purposes. The main purpose of the study is to develop a method for selecting artificial intelligence technology for controlling mobile robots.
