Abstract

This study investigates the use of microwave ovens and human exposure to electromagnetic fields through literature review and online survey of 180 respondents in Republic of Moldova. Results show that microwaves are widely used for convenience, yet many users maintain concerns about food quality and health risks. Scientific evidence indicates that, when used according to safety guidelines, microwaves and electromagnetic fields pose minimal risk. The study highlights a gap between public perception and scientific knowledge, emphasizing the need for ongoing education and clear communication.
