Optimization of autonomous energy supply for livestock enterprises through the use of biogas technologies
Main Article Content
Abstract
The required electricity generation is defined by the real load curve of a livestock farm. A method is suggested for tracking the farm’s load characteristics in comparison with the available generation output. This makes it possible to regulate biogas-powered units with internal combustion engines efficiently, depending on load fluctuations. Furthermore, it removes the necessity for extra reserve capacity during possible shifts in technological operations. Applying this method improves the performance of biogas installations and increases the reliability of autonomous energy supply for livestock farms.
