This article explores the role of youth volunteerism in preventing harmful habits among adolescents, emphasizing its significance as a primary strategy for addiction prevention and social engagement. The author examines the connection between volunteer activities, social responsibility, and personal development, highlighting how early involvement in socially meaningful initiatives can reduce the risks of smoking, alcohol, and drug use. The paper compares Russian and international prevention practices, underlining the importance of comprehensive programs, legal frameworks, and interactive methods that strengthen protective factors and promote healthy lifestyles.
