Development of a unified project management framework for construction companies

Abstract

Construction projects rarely fail because of poor engineering - they fail because of poor coordination. This study looks at how a unified project management framework can bring order and transparency into one of the most complex industries. The idea came from everyday practice, not from theory: too many tools, too many reports, and too little shared understanding. By observing real companies and listening to the people who run their projects, the research mapped where communication breaks down and how a single framework could close those gaps. The proposed system connects strategy, operations, and technology into one structure. It allows everyone - from managers to site workers - to see the same information and act on it. When tested in several construction firms, the framework reduced confusion, shortened meetings, and improved trust among teams. It didn’t replace human judgment; it made it easier for people to use their experience without getting lost in paperwork. The findings show that when work is organized around one clear system, everything starts to move in the same direction. What used to feel messy and unpredictable becomes easier to manage. Teams understand each other faster, decisions take less time, and the whole process feels steadier and more transparent. A unified approach doesn’t make construction easy, but it makes it understandable - and that already changes the rhythm of daily work for the better..
