Abstract

Pneumonia is a serious disease caused by inflammation of lung tissue, and it is characterized by a high mortality rate, especially among immunocompromised patients. Traditional diagnostic methods are often subjective and prone to human error. This paper addresses the challenge of automatically detecting pneumonia from chest X-ray images using a deep learning model based on the EfficientNetB0 architecture. The model was trained using transfer learning and evaluated on real clinical images. The study provides a detailed explanation of data analysis, preprocessing, model architecture, training strategy, and final results. Experimental outcomes demonstrated that the model achieved high accuracy and robust performance.
