A philosophical and literary reading of Huseyn Javid’s poem «Azer»
Main Article Content
Abstract
Huseyn Javid is a distinguished figure who enriched Azerbaijani literature both in content and form through his unique artistic vision. His philosophical and romantic ideas serve not only as a guide for his own time but also as a timeless spiritual compass for humanity. The originality and depth of these ideas are most vividly reflected in his poem Azer. The main character, Azer, functions as the poet’s spiritual prototype and becomes the key through which Javid conveys his worldview to the reader. A philosophical reading of the poem reveals that when we look at the world through Azer’s window, we are not only encountering a literary hero, but also discovering Huseyn Javid himself. Each verse of the poem resonates with his delicate emotions, idealistic views, and moral rebellion. In this sense, Azer is more than just a literary work it is a spiritual journey, an intellectual and aesthetic space for engaging with Javid’s inner world.
