Abstract
Corporate law plays a fundamental role in shaping the legal framework for modern business operations. It ensures accountability, transparency, and fair governance within companies by regulating the relationships between stakeholders—shareholders, directors, employees, and regulators. This article explores the core functions of corporate law, emphasizing its role in fostering ethical business practices, preventing corporate abuse, and enhancing investor confidence. Furthermore, the study evaluates the legal mechanisms for corporate governance and highlights the need for stronger enforcement in emerging economies such as Azerbaijan.
