Abstract

This article examines the integration of financial technologies (Fintech) into university-level academic programs in finance and accounting. As the global financial ecosystem becomes increasingly digitized, the gap between industry innovation and academic instruction continues to widen. While Fintech is transforming areas such as banking, investment, insurance, and payment systems, many university curricula remain rooted in traditional financial concepts, offering little exposure to technological advancements. This study identifies emerging trends in Fintech education and highlights the need for interdisciplinary approaches that combine finance, information technology, and entrepreneurship. Drawing on international examples and academic analysis, the article proposes strategic recommendations to help educational institutions adapt their programs and equip students with the digital competencies required in modern financial environments.
